Building the Brand: Tools for SMEs to Connect to Global Markets

On November 12, 2012, the Hills Program, in partnership with the US ASEAN Business Council, organized a workshop for SMEs on “Building the Brand:  Tools for SMEs to Connect to Global Markets” at the Asian Institute of Management. The workshop brought together representatives of multi-national companies and local experts to share best practices and give practical guidance to SMEs on how to integrate themselves into world markets. The topics covered included:

  • Challenges in the Business Environment for SMEs
  • Branding for SMEs
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping Tools for SMEs
  • Data as a Competitive Advantage
  • Unlocking Efficiencies Through Supply Chain Management
  • Integrating SMES with Global Supply Chains
  • Building an ASEAN-wide Regulatory Environment that Supports Small Business Growth

The workshop, which featured Senator Legarda as a keynote speaker, was sponsored by HP, Procter & Gamble, KPMG, Seagate, Peregrine, and supported by The UPS Foundation.
