Anti-Corruption for SMEs Training-of-Trainers and Integrity Pledge Briefing
As part of the Center's steadfast advocacy of promoting integrity and accountability in business, the Hills Program, in partnership with the Integrity Initiative, held an Anti-Corruption for SMEs Training-of-Trainers at the Merill Lynch Room at the AIM Conference Center Manila on September 25, 2014 and an Integrity Pledge Briefing for Locators at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center in Subic on December 11, 2014 as invited by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
The Training-of-Trainers brought together 19 participants from various civil-society organizations, non-government organizations, and academic institutions. As the workshop aimed to train potential trainers on anti-corruption, it also established an avenue to exchange ideas, experiences, and insights about corruption among SMEs as well as practical measures on how to prevent such corrupt and unethical practices.
Conducted by the AIM Hills Program and the Integrity Initiative, the Integrity Pledge Briefing in Subic was attended by approximately 150 locators- business owners and company representatives, in the Freeport. This event aimed to provide the locators with a more comprehensive understanding of the Integrity Pledge, which the AIM Hills Program developed in 2010. Ronnie Yambao, an official of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, facilitated the briefing.
